Forked River Man Charged With Heroin Possession And Distribution


A Bullard Avenue man is in the Ocean County Jail in Toms River in lieu of $100,000 bail after Lacey police found 194 bags of heroin in his possession, a Lacey Police Chief David A. Paprota said.

The Ocean County Prosecutor's Office Special Operations Group arrested Christopher C. Cox, 24, at 7:22 p.m. on June 17, after stopping his car on West Lacey Road, the chief said.

The SOG and Lacey Detective Brian Flynn had been investigating a heroin possession and distribution operation at 1404 Bullard Avenue. Cox had 194 bags of heroin in his possession, Paprota said.

Cox was charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin with intent to distribute and distribution of heroin, the chief said.
