Forked River Man Charged With Gille Park Vehicle Burglary

William Hoefsloot was previously indicted for stealing a woman's purse and credit cards

A Forked River man was arrested after he allegedly burglarized a vehicle and stole credit cards.

On July 6, police responded to a . The victim reported that while she was exercising in the park, her car was entered and personal belongings, including credit cards, were stolen.

The cards were later used throughout Ocean County to make purchases.

William Hoefsloot, 34, was arrested and charged with burglary and theft of credit cards. Additional charges will be presented to a Grand Jury for use of the credit cards.

Hoefsloot was sent to the Ocean County Jail with his bail set at $50,000.

Hoefsloot was also indicted in June for on March 13 in Lacey. He later used one of the credit cards at the Walmart in Lacey to purchase a television and a Sony Playstation 3 game system.

He was also accused of and using it at the K-Mart in Toms River to buy a camera valued over $500 and of having heroin on March 16.
