Forked River Man Charged With Assaulting Police Sergeant

Lacey police recently arrested a Forked River man for aggravated assault on a police officer after they responded to a criminal restraint call on Surrey Court, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.

Officers responded to the call at 3:04 p.m. on June 1 at the home in the Pheasant Run development for a dispute involving possible criminal restraint. Sgt. Paul Sullivan located the suspect, John O'Neill, 26, and informed him that he was under arrest, the chief said.
