Forked River Man Arrested on Drug Charges After Car Accident
Thefts, arrests and more from the last week
A Forked River man faces drug charges after a motor vehicle accident in Lacey on April 14.
Driver Douglas Brice, 49, who was allegedly intoxicated, was arrested after police responded to the two-car traffic accident. No injuries were reported.
During the arrest, police located a small amount of cocaine on Brice, Lt. Scott Tirella said.

Brice was charged with DWI, refusal to submit to a breath test, reckless driving, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was processed and released.

April 16
A business at the Wharfside Plaza on Route 9 and Hollywood Boulevard reported that sometime over the winter, someone stole its air conditioner compressor valued at $25.
April 12
A 6 horsepower motor, valued at $600, from a barge docked at the Laurel Harbor Marina was reported stolen.
April 9
Bernard Kappen, 20, of Forked River was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Manchester for $5,000. Kappen was turned over to the Manchester Police Department.
