Forked River Man Charged With Inappropriately Touching Minors

A house guest at a Lacey home allegedly touched two minors

A Forked River man has been arrested on charges of touching two minor females.

Hector Mejias, 26, of 706 Tampa Road was arrested on Friday, July 1, after he allegedly touched two minors inappropriately, police said.

The two female victims, ages 16 and 14, reported that Mejias touched them inappropriately at one of their homes during a sleepover on Tuesday, June 21. Mejias was a house guest at the residence during the incident.

Mejias was charged with two counts of criminal sexual contact and one count of endangering the welfare of a child. He was sent to the Ocean County Jail with bail set at $37,500.

Mejias also has an outstanding child support warrant from Craven County, N.C., police said.
