Forked River Man Accused of Burglarizing Neighbor

Grand juries hand up indictments

A Forked River man is free on $10,000 bail after being indicted by an Ocean County grand jury last week.

Christopher Boardingham, 20, of Lakeside Drive North, broke into a home on his street between May 23 and 26, stole jewelry and cash in excess of $500 and then sold it within Berkeley Township, police said.

Boardingham was charged with burglary, theft and dealing in stolen property, all in the third degree. He posted $10,000 bail Feb. 4.

Boardingham was previously charged by the Lacey Township Police Department in May after allegedly removing and stealing a street sign.

  • Jeffrey P. Emanuel, 31, and Anthony J. Costa, 25, on drug charges.

Both men are accused of being in possession of oxycodone when they were arrested in Lacey Oct. 24, while Costa also was indicted on charges of possession with intent to distribute and distribution of a controlled dangerous substance. 

Emanuel additionally was charged with tampering with physical evidence.

Costa was released on his own recognizance, and Emanuel was released on a summons.

Costa was previously arrested by the Lacey Township Police Department for an out of Wall Township.

  • Matthew Copeland, 21, of Lakeside Drive South, on burglary and theft charges.

Copeland is accused of breaking into a 1993 Saturn in Lacey Oct. 17 and stealing a purse and diamond earrings. He was released on a summons.
