Forked River Fire Not Suspicious

A fire on Conifer Drive is believed to have originated in the water boiler area of the home

The fire that damaged a Forked River home on April 3 was deemed accidental, Deputy Fire Marshal, Brian Mount said.

A fire broke out at 515 Conifer Drive at 3:05 a.m., Chief Jack Amrozewicz said.

The residents, four adults and two young children, got out of the home as soon as they saw the smoke and are uninjured.

The probably cause of the fire was no function in a water boiler, Mount said.

The fire was declared under control by 3:20 a.m. until the Lanoka Harbor Fire Department notices flames coming from the roof. The unit had to cut an 8 by 6 foot hole to reach the flames.
