Forked River Auto Accident Injures Three

Passenger in two-car collision airlifted to Jersey Shore Trauma Center

A motor vehicle accident on Nautilus Boulevard left three injured, including a passenger who was airlifted to the Jersey Shore Trauma Center in Neptune, Officer John Simonson of the Lacey Police Department said.

The two-car accident occurred at approximately 3:46 p.m. near the intersection of Nautilus Boulevard and Yorktown Drive. Both vehicles were damaged significantly, Simonson said.

Each driver, Christopher Nogalo, 19, of Forked River and Imam Irmak, 41, of Waretown, suffered injuries. Passenger Handan Finklestein, 31, of Forked River suffered an injury to her head. Finklestein was airlifted by the New Jersey State Police and transported to Jersey Shore Trauma Center.

The accident was originally reported by the Breaking News Network at 4:03 p.m. According to the Network, Basic Life Support units and a Medevac were requested.

The scene was cleared by 4:30 p.m.
