Police spotted a vehicle trespassing while on patrol
Drug possession and trespassing charges resulted from a check of an area off West Lacey Road for trespassers on Oct. 26, police said.
Officers Jeffrey Slota and Joseph Soto responded to the Power Lines South in Forked River, to check for vehicles trespassing around 11 a.m., police said.
While checking the area, a vehicle with three males inside was located near the creek, police said.
An investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, 20-year-old Joshua D. Kozireski also received a traffic summons for possession of drugs in a motor vehicle.
The two passengers that were in the vehicle, 18-year-old Shawn A. Renn of Forked River and Taylor Savage of Waretown, were both issued a summons for trespassing and were released at the scene.
