Credit Cards Stolen From Vehicles Parked At Gille Park

Credit cards stolen and fraudulently used after cars were entered at Gille Park

A Forked River resident reported that while exercising at Gille Park, her vehicle was entered and three credit cards were stolen.

The resident was exercising on Wednesday, July 6 when her car was entered. The suspect went through the victim’s wallet and stole her credit cards.

It was later determined that the credit cards were fraudulently used to make purchases outside of Lacey Township.

The incident is still under investigation.

A similar but unrelated incident happened at Gille Park last month.

On June 22, a female’s vehicle was entered while she was exercising at the park at 7:34 p.m. A coach wallet containing personal identification and credit cards were stolen. The total value of the stolen property was $379.

The stolen credit cards were also used to make $211.90 in unauthorized purchases at businesses in Lacey Township.
