County Residents Indicted on Drug, Shoplifting Charges
Grand juries hand up indictments
A Seaside Heights man defrauded a Lacey merchant in order to acquire oxycodone, according to an Ocean County grand jury.
Robert M. Guarino, 31, was indicted last week on uttering a forged instrument and obtaining a controlled dangerous substance by fraud charges.
Guarino allegedly presented a forged prescription Oct. 22 in the township in an effort to obtain the narcotic, the indictment states.

He remains lodged in Ocean County Jail on $10,000 bail, no 10 percent option.

- Melissa L. Starick, 30, of Bayville on a shoplifting charge.
Starick was arrested Nov. 26 in Lacey after stealing more than $200 in merchandise from Walmart, including stcikers, markers and a cell phone.
She was released on a summons.
- Two Forked River residents and a Manahawkin woman on a possession of heroin charge.
Taylor Boylan, 18, and Scott Bennett, 24, both of Forked River, were arrested Oct. 9 in Stafford and accused of having the narcotic. Valerie Perez, 21, of Manahawkin also was arrested on the same charge.
All were released on a summons.
