Cocaine, Heroin Seized, Father and Son Charged

Police execute search warrant on Oakwood Drive home

A father and son from Forked River were arrested Tuesday after police said they discovered cocaine and heroin at their Oakwood Drive home.

Willie Alexander Jr., 48, and Willie Alexander III, 24, were both apprehended after Lacey police and Ocean County detectives executed a search warrant at their residence, Ocean Prosecutor Marlene Lynch Ford said in a release.

Police said they seized eight bags of crack cocaine, 5 doses of heroin and $14,302 from the Oakwood Drive home.

Both Alexanders were charged with possession of heroin and cocaine less than a half-ounce and possession of heroin and cocaine less than a half-ounce with intent to distribute.

Bail was set on both men at $50,000, no 10 percent option, by municipal Judge Damian Murray. Both men were transported to Ocean County Jail.

In addition to Lacey police and Ocean detectives, members of the Ocean County Southern Regional SWAT team and the Ocean County Sheriff's Department K-9 Unit also responded.
