A fire ignited in the garage of a Forked River home damaging two cars on Saturday, Chief Ray Brandmahl of the Forked River Fire Department said.

At approximately 4 p.m., the fire company responded to the scene on Leilani Drive where two cars—an electric and a Camaro—were located in a flooded garage. One was connected to a trickle charger, Brandmahl said.

The residents were home when the fire ignited, he said. No injuries were reported and damage was confined to the cars, garage and garage doors.
