Asbury Park Man Arrested On Drug Charges At State Game Farm in Lacey

Police recently arrested an Asbury Park man on
drug charges after they responded to a call at the State Game Farm, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.

Patrolman Robert Flynn answered the call at 6:21 p.m. on July 18, on a report of a male with a controlled dangerous substance at Ocean Residential, 1 Game Farm Road, the chief said.

Dante Allen, 18, was arrested after an investigation at the scene. He was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, Paprota said.

Allen was taken to police headquarters, then transported to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River in lieu of $2,500 bail, the chief said.

That is really a pathetic act, taking this kid to the county jail ,$2500 bail for smoking a joint? If patrolman Flynn had any intelligence he would have taken whatever the kid had and told him to get out of there. He didn't have any serious quantity, intent to distribute was tagged on so they could take the kid to jail. This is how lacey police spend thier time instead of concentrating on the real drug problems they have in thier town.
