More thuds and booms are in store for the weekend, while the I and G Batteries of the 3rd Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment, will conduct artillery firing training at the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst.
Firing is scheduled to cease at 11 p.m. each day, according to a release from the base's Public Affairs Office.
"As a result of this important training, some residents may hear more noise than usual coming from our ranges and may experience possible ground shaking," the release states. "It is important to note that noise from the ranges may travel farther during overcast weather conditions.
