they should not let trucks on any of the parkway

Most likely a construction truck. There is nothing more scary than when one of them pulls out onto the road at 5 mph and the 75 - 95 mph cars jam up behind it.

Was there really a death???
Phil MacKenzie February 19, 2014 at 07:12 AM
Unbelievably, no fatalities Christine. Driver lived by 2 inches.

@Deep Throat, the speed limit in a construction zone is 45mph and the left lane isn't a travel lane, it for passing and emergency vehicles only. @Ortley, that's a great idea! What road should they take? Rt 9? Could you imagine the traffic nightmare? The problem isn't the trucks, it's the inattentive drivers.

I have to disagree Phil...some trucks are just going way too fast and need to also slow down,

A bunch of cars were stopped behind a large truck (spreader?) in the right lane. Then the dump truck came flying up the Parkway, veered off when he saw the stopped cars, bounced around on the shoulder, and somewhere in between ran into and over the other car.

Glad she's going to make it…the picture looked pretty bad

Cops really have to work harder slowing people down ESPECIALLY in the construction zones of the GSP...

I talked to the victim's sister tonight. She said the dump truck hit her, and continued to run over the car without stopping. She saved herself from critical injuries by ducking her head. She got only three stitches! God was definitely by her side
