Police Issue Summonses to 6 for Alleged Possession of Fireworks

Lacey Township Police Department receive 67 complaints related to fireworks this Fourth of July weekend

After utilizing the reverse 911 system on Friday, July 1, noting that the use of fireworks is against state law and advising residents of the dangers, the Lacey Township Police Department issued summonses to six people for the alleged possession of fireworks this Fourth of July weekend.

Police received 67 complaints related to fireworks but only six adults received a special complaint summons for possession of fireworks, which is a petty disorderly persons offense and is punishable by a possible jail term of up to 30 days and a fine or restitution of up to $500.

Anthony Pesini, 43, of Chestnut Drive in Lanoka Harbor on Saturday, July 2 at 9 p.m.
