3 Indicted on Charges of Drug Distribution in Lacey

Three others also indicted

Two locals were indicted on charges of distribution of heroin and other drug-related charges.

Linda Carroll, 53, of Toms River and Leonard Dasaro, 57, of Forked River were arrested in Lacey on June 28.

The two were also indicted on charges of possession of heroin and possession with the intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance, possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance in a school zone and possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance in a public recreation zone.

Carroll and Dasaro intended to distribute heroin within 1,000 feet of the Forked River Elementary Zone as well as within 500 feet of the Ocean County Library, according to the indictment.

Carroll posted $100,000 bail and Dasaro posted $75,000 bail, both with no 10 percent option, in July.

Dasaro was previously indicted in July 2011 after he was accused of having Oxycodone with the intent to distribute it on March 30 in Lacey.

Three others were also recently indicted on charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance with the intent to distribute in Lacey.

Ralph Monaco, 22, and Daniel Spina, 26, both of Forked River and Tina Bahr, 30, of Lanoka Harbor possessed marijuana in a quantity of less than one ounce, with intent to distribute on Aug. 20.

Monaco was also charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance after he was found with Oxycodone. According to the indictment, the Oxycodone was not obtained through a valid prescription.

They were each served a summons and released. 

Also indicted was:

  • Randall W. Mooney, 51, of Waretown for operating a motor vehicle during a period of license suspension on April 30 in Lacey. Mooney’s license had been suspended or revoked for a second or subsequent violation. He was charged on a summons and released.
