March 7: Chef's Night Out, Monologue, Food Drive, and More

Events in and around Lacey Township

1.    The Professional and Support Staff of the Toms River Regional Schools is having a food drive to benefit the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties. The food drive starts today and goes through March 31. All non-perishable food items can be dropped off at Toms River Schools Central Registration, Toms River Schools Information Center, and the Toms River Education Association. 2.    There is an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting at Community Hall in Forked River at 2 p.m.

3.    The Ocean County Foundation for Vocational Technical Education is having their 15th annual Chef’s Night Out at the Poland Spring Arena in Toms River at 6 p.m. There will be samples from various restaurants. Click ocvts.org for tickets and more information.

4.     There is a Zoning Board of Adjustment meeting today at the Lacey Municipal Building at 7 p.m.

5.    The Lacey Library is hosting “Someone Must Was the Dishes: An Anti-Suffrage Monologue” at 7 p.m. The monologue will be performed by Michele LeRue Howe, author of Anti- Suffrage Monologue. Howe wrote the monologue in 1912, eight years before women gained the right to vote.
