Lacey School Board Recall Update.

Things are progressing again after a minor setback.  The Notice of Intent to Recall two Board Members was filed with the Ocean County Clerk and published in the newspaper.  However, the notice of intent that was first filed, had both Board Members on the same Notice of Intent.  Per  N.J.S.A. 9:27A-6, this should have been filed on two separate Notice of Intents.  Last Friday, the first Notice of Intent was withdrawn and the two separate Notice of Intent’s were filed in its place.  They have been processed by the Ocean County Clerk and a certified copy of the Notice of Intent has been received back from the County Clerk.  Now the Notice of Intent has to be published in the newspaper again next Sunday.  The next step in the Recall process; is to have the actual petitions to be used; approval by the County Clerk.  Once those Petition formats are approved the obtaining of signatures can begin.
