Life Celebration to be Held for Kayla Hayes, 22, of Lanoka Harbor

Hayes died suddenly on Jan. 4

Kayla Marie Hayes, 22, of Lanoka Harbor died suddenly on Jan. 4, according to her obituary in the Asbury Park Press.

Hayes, a licensed hairdresser, was born in Toms River but resided in Lanoka Harbor for most of her life, the obituary said.

She is predeceased by both grandfathers, John Hayes Sr. and Robert Kennedy. Surviving are her parents, John Jr. and Maureen Hayes; her brother and best friend Stephen Hayes; her maternal grandmother Jean Kennedy and her paternal grandmother Marie Hayes.

A Life Celebration will be held on Thursday, Jan. 10 from 4 to 8 p.m. with services at 7:30 p.m., in the Mastapeter Funeral Home located at 270 Atlantic City Blvd. in Bayville. The family has requested that everyone wear something pink, leopard print or “Hello Kitty.”

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a children’s charity of your choice.
