Captain Inglis Pays A Visit To Lanoka Harbor Firehouse

Lanoka Harbor Fire Company's Capt. Daniel Inglis dropped by the firehouse on Monday night, less than two months after he was severely injured in a fall while on Sunday duty.

He was a welcome guest.

"Great surprise tonight at LHFD, our Captain Dan Inglis Sr. stopped by to see us! - for those who don't know, Danny is recovering from a head injury sustained at the fire house earlier this year. Great to see you Capt!" one of the posts on the fire company's Facebook said.

Inglis was alone in the truck bay when he was injured. No one knows what happened, but he suffered severe head injuries and was hospitalized for weeks.

The accident was the second heartbreak for the Inglis family in little more than a year. His police officer son Daniel Jr. died in January 2013 of injuries he suffered in a car crash in 2011.
