UPDATE: Power Restoration and Outages in Ocean County

JCP&L reported 703,691 of its nearly 1.1 million customers remained in the dark as of about 4:45 p.m. on Friday.

Power outage numbers continued to drop across the state Friday. 

JCP&L reported in a release on that the majority of customers will be restored by November 7.

The site also contains a .PDF that details the specific areas that are expected to receive power over the coming weekend.

JCP&L reported 703,691 of its nearly 1.1 million customers remained in the dark as of about 4:45 p.m. on Friday, according to its outage map. The number includes 131,197 in Ocean County.

"The majority of customers will be restored by next Wednesday. Customers in the hardest-hit areas are expected to be restored in an additional seven days. Remaining customers will be restored once damaged roads, infrastructure and homes are rebuilt. We will provide more information here, on Facebook and on Twitter, as well as through news releases, as it becomes available.

At the peak, more than 1 million of JCP&L’s 1.1 million customers were without power.
