The Morning Call for July 24, 2013

Northwest winds. Say it again. Northwest winds. Cooler, drier air is seeping into Ocean County. Enjoy it while it lasts. The National Weather Service is calling for several day nice days, in start contrast to the hellfire we've had for the past several weeks.

Today - Mostly sunny with a high near 85 degrees. Winds will be from the northwest at 9 miles per hour.

Tonight - Partly cloudy with a low near 64 degrees. Winds will be from the north at 8 to 13 miles per hour. Good sleeping weather.

Things to Do:

• Lacey Township Committee, special meeting, 5 p.m. Municipal Building, Lacey Road. Township officials will discuss capital budget.

• Information session and public hearing on state's Radiological Emergency Response Plan for Oyster Creek.
Public hearing runs from 6 to 7 p.m., followed immediately by a public hearing. The event will be held in Room 119 of the Ocean County Administration Building, 101 Hooper Avenue, Toms River.
