The little terrier mix was found wandering the streets of Newark, with a severe injury to her eye.
Meet Lovey. She has adjusted to life with one eye and is ready for a forever home. She is just one of the hundreds of animals available for adoption.
"Lovey would do well in just about any caring home with a family that promises to love her forever," reads the description on the organization's Facebook page.
This weekend, "Rock to Adopt" will be held at the Popcorn Park Zoo to help animals like Lovey and promote adoptions at Associated Humane's shelters.
The Local Shack will present the two-day music festival, which will run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. both days. The admission fee for the weekend is $20 for adults, $10 for children ages 2 to 13. The cost for a family "4-pack" of two adults and two children is $40.
The fees include admission to Popcorn Park and popcorn, face painting, nail painting, chair massages and more.
