Police Report: Suspicious Incident In Gille Park Over Weekend

A Forked River woman walking with her daughter in Gille Park on Sunday morning called police after she spotted a man inside a van taking pictures of her and her daughter, police said.

The two were walking near the hockey rink at 8:55 a.m. when she noticed the man. When she confronted him, she said he drove out of the parking lot and turned left on Manchester Avenue, police said.

The driver was described as an older white male, with a large build, sandy, grey hair, and wearing glasses. The woman described his vehicle as a late model, white, conversion van with a blue stripe on the side. There was a “NY Yankees” tire cover over the spare tire mounted on the back of the van.

It is unknown why the man was photographing the two females, police said.
