Police Investigating Early Morning Burglary At Kohl's Store on Route 9

K-9 search of store and nearby vicinity yielded no results

Lacey police are looking for a person who broke into the Kohl's store on Route 9 early Monday morning and took an undetermined amount of jewelry, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.

The incident happened at 1:30 a.m. on Monday, when an unknown subject smashed a glass window near the entrance and entered the store, he said.

The subject - who was in the store for less than a minute - was wearing dark clothing, a dark ski mask and was carrying a backpack, the chief said.

The person smashed a glass jewelry case and stole an undetermined amount of gold-plated sterling silver jewelry, Paprota said.
