Lanoka Harbor Man Charged With Drunken Driving After Accident

Police have charged a Forked River man with driving under the influence after he was involved in a July 8 two-car crash on Route 9 North, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.

Officers Ronald Buxton, Darrell Nick, and Jeffrey Slota responded to the accident near Laurel Boulevard involving the two cars and a telephone pole, he said.

Police arrested William Boutilette of Lanoka Harbor after an investigation at the scene. He was later released after receiving a summons. A female occupant of the other car received minor injuries and was treated by the Lanoka Harbor First Aid Squad at the scene, Paprota said.

Boutilette's car was impounded pursuant to John’s Law, the chief said.
