Forked River Man Arrested On Drug Charges

Household member alerts police

Lacey police recently arrested a Forked River man on drug charges after a household member alerted authorities, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.
Officer John McKee responded to a home in the 400 block of Beach Boulevard at 8:43 p.m. on June 11, after a person who lived in the home reported finding syringes and drug paraphernalia, the chief said.
Michael Riley, 32, who lived in the same house, was charged with possession of two hypodermic syringes and possession of drug paraphernalia, Paprota said.
Police placed the charges on a $2,500 warrant. He also had an additional $250 warrant out of Point Pleasant.
Riley was taken to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River in default of the bail,  the chief said.
