Forked River Man Arrested At Local Wawa; Facing Numerous Charges

Joseph Caputo also had two outstanding warrants

Lacey police recently arrested a Forked River man on a number of charges after they responded to a July 15 disturbance call at the Taylor Lane Wawa, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.

Officer Frederick Anderson and Special Officer Travis Horton located the man shortly after they arrived at 2:15 p.m. They arrested Joseph Caputo IV, 23, after a brief investigation, the chief said.

Police said Caputo gave a false name when he was first questioned. He was
charged with hindering his own apprehension, obstructing the administration of the law and possession of a hypodermic syringe, Paprota said.

He was processed and later taken to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River in lieu of $1,500 bail. Caputo also had two outstanding warrants for his arrest, including a $750 warrant out of Manchester and a $300 warrant out of Seaside Heights, Paprota said.
