First Flakes of the Season

Question of the day: Are you looking forward to snow this season?

From snow days and igloos to unbearably cold weather and shoveling, snow has its good and bad sides.

Parts of Ocean County saw its first snowflakes of the season around 1 a.m. this morning, with some roads just dusted over.

Chances are the snow will have melted by the time you awake but the National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook and has predicted scattered flurries overnight with a low around 27 degrees.

This time last year Lacey was blanketed with several feet of snow. The township snow plan broke down, roads remained slick, and residents were stranded as it took days to dig out.
