Eating, Drinking and Cooking in South Jersey This Weekend: A Second Chance for Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day not go the way you planned? You have another chance thanks to a number of restaurants.

Yeah, we didn’t get to post anything for Valentine’s Day. These things happen from time to time.

But – there are still some Valentine-y things going on through the weekend, so let’s run through a bunch of them, shall we?

One Fish, Two Fish in Wildwood will be open all weekend serving their special Valentine’s Day menu.

Steve and Cookies By the Bay in Margate will have their Valentine’s Day specials available through Saturday.

The Madison in Riverside is having a Valentine’s Weekend prix fixe dinner for $34.95 per person.

High Street Grill in Mount Holly will have its Valentine’s Weekend Prix Fixe available Friday and Saturday. The price is $45 per person for their four-course dinner.

Tortilla Press in Collingswood will offer its special Valentine’s Day menu on Friday and Saturday as well. The menu includes a number of vegetarian and gluten-free offerings.

Robin’s Nest in Mount Holly will serve its Valentine’s Celebration Dinner on Friday and Saturday.

DiPaolo’s in Penns Grove will be serving its Valentine’s Day specials through Sunday.

Cook’s Telford Inn in Mantua and Carolina Blue in Pitman will also be serving Valentine’s Day specials through Sunday.

At Chef Capasso’s Blackbird in Collingswood, the four-course Valentine’s dinner will be available through Sunday for $55 a person.

Some of the wineries are having a reprise of last week’s Wine & Chocolate Weekend, such as Sharrott Winery in Blue Anchor and Bellview Winery in Landisville. Wine and crepes will be on the menu at Hawk Haven Vineyard this Saturday and Sunday.

What else?

LBI’s Chocolate Week continues through Monday and The Pop Shop’s Pancake Week continues through Saturday.

The new annual Cape May Chili & Chowder Challenge will be taking place on Sunday at Congress Hall from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost is $5 per person.

Starting on Sunday, Tortilla Press in Collingswood is offering an Eat Your Veggies celebration, with a tapas menu for only $29.95 a person.

And on Monday, celebrate President’s Day with some fine dining vegan-style. It’s the American Vegan Society’s Dinner After Dark at Careme’s Restaurant. Careme’s is located at The Academy of Culinary Arts at Atlantic Cape Community College in Mays Landing. The dinner starts at 6:30PM, and you need to call to find out if seats are still available.

Friday: Teens and Tweens: Mexican Made Easy at Kitchen Kapers in Moorestown.

Saturday: Homemade Soups Workshop at Viking Cooking School at Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City, Valentine Macarons and Date Night: An Evening in Paris at Sur la Table in Marlton, and Romantic Dinner for Two! at Kitchen Kapers.

Sunday: Homemade Cheese & Yogurt Workshop at Sur la Table and Kids in the Kitchen: Mexican Munchies at Kitchen Kapers.

Monday: Girls’ Night Out: In Vegas at Viking Cooking School.
