Eating, Drinking and Cooking in South Jersey This Weekend: Beaujolais Nouveau and Other Stuff

Beaujolais Nouveau has arrived, so start your wine-ing!

It’s Beaujolais Nouveau time of the year, so get out your wine glasses, pour yourself a nice glass of vino, and check out what’s going on before the big food holiday that is Thanksgiving…

Renault Winery in Egg Harbor City will be having some fun with the Beaujolais season with their “Beaujolais” Culinary Classic III Friday night at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $69 per person. Mad Batter in Cape May, meanwhile, will be hosting a Wine Dinner: Flavors of Fall event at 7:30 p.m.

Another wine dinner on Friday? Sure – how about a Cakebread Cellars Wine Dinner at Vic & Anthony’s at Golden Nugget in Atlantic City from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.. The cost is $150 per person.

And, there will also be a wine, cheese and tour event at the Library Company of Burlington from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday. Tickets are $25 a person.

This weekend will also be the annual Wines From Around the World weekend at The Golden Inn in Avalon, which came out of Sandy just fine. For the weekend, it’s $199 per couple, and just $45 per person for a day pass on Sunday.

Friday: Japanese Dinner Party at Viking Cooking School at Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City, and Jacques Pepin’s Essentials of French Cooking III at Sur La Table in Marlton.

Saturday: Holiday Baking Basics at Sur La Table, and German Party Food at Viking Cooking School.

Sunday: Hearty Winter Soups & Stews at Sur La Table, Baby Cakes and Titanic Dinner Party at Viking Cooking School, and Open Hearth Pie Baking at the LAC Historic Log Cabin in Lower Alloways Creek.
