Lacey Man Sentenced To Six Years In Child Pornography Case

William A. Burrows also has to make restitution and register as a sex offender, judge says

A Lacey Township man was sentenced to 78 months in prison today for possessing more than 600 images of child pornography, including photos of children being sexually abused, U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman said.

William A. Burrows, 60 previously pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Michael A. Shipp to an information charging him with possession of child pornography. Shipp sentenced Burrows today in federal court in Trenton.

Fishman said that Burrows downloaded videos and photos of child pornography between March 2011  and April 2012.

Law enforcement authorities seized his desktop computer and external hard drive  at Burrows’ home on April 12, 2012. They found more than 600 images of child pornography, including sadistic or violent conduct involving minors, Fishman said.

Shipp also sentenced Burrows to five years of surveillance upon his release, a $12,500 fine and ordered him to pay $10,000 in restitution.

The judge also mandated that Burrows have limited contact with minors, computer use monitoring and required that he register as a sex offender .
