The Rotary Club of Forked River will be holding their third annual Texas Hold ‘Em poker tournament. The 2012 event will be held on Saturday, March 10 at the Captain's Inn on Lacey Road of Forked River.
The cost to participate is $110 per person and will offer a cash bar and cash food available. All players entering the final table of ten players will receive prizes in the form of Visa Gift cards totalling from $100 - $1,500. In addition the winner's name is etched on the perpetual trophy located at the Captain's Inn.
Registration will begin at 6 p.m. with the tournament beginning at 7 p.m. Tournament is expected to finish at 11 p.m. For a review of the rules for the event, please go to forkedriverrotary.org or call 609-971-7722. In addition to the Texas Hold ‘Em tournament there will be a separate Blackjack tournament and qualifying event. The entry fee for the Blackjack qualifying event is $25 and you may enter as many times as the player chooses. Blackjack qualifying will begin at 7 p.m. on March 10th with the finals for the Blackjack tournament beginning at 10 p.m. and finishing at 11 p.m.
Prizes in the form of visa gift cards are also awarded from 2nd to 7th place and a large screen HD definition television will be given to the overall blackjack winner. Proceeds from this event go to local charities of the Rotary Club of Forked River.
