Township Accepting Applications and Donations Toward Lacey Freedom Wall

Residents can honor active and retired members of the military by purchasing a plaque for $10

Lacey residents will now be able to honor active and retired members of the military by donating towards the Lacey Freedom Wall or purchasing plaques.

The temporary memorial located at Bicentennial Park will become permanent since Doreen Smolens, an employee of the buildings and grounds crew for the Lacey Township School District, took on the project.

Smolens is a mother of a Marine who is currently between tours of duty and will be transforming the Lacey Freedom Wall into a permanent memorial with a retaining wall and plaques.
