Patriotic Senior Connection Luncheon

The Lacey Township Municipal Alliance will be holding their monthly senior connection luncheon at Community Hall at 11 a.m. This month’s theme will be patriotic in honor of Memorial Day. Admission is $6 at the door. For more information call 609-693-8223.

Saturday, May 28
Veterans Cemetery Service
The Municipal Alliance is also sponsoring a trip for township residents to the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ for a Memorial Day Parade and a ceremony to honor veterans. 

Meet at Town Hall at 8 a.m. The parade is at 10 a.m. and the visit to the memorial cemetery will follow. Lunch will be at Heritage Restaurant in Whiting. Admission is $15.

Saturday, May 28
Memorial Service and Picnic
A Memorial Day Picnic will be held at the Lacey Elks Lodge on Beach Boulevard in Forked River from 12:30 to 5 p.m.

A memorial service will take place at 12 pm. with music to follow by Shorty Long and the Jersey Horns.

Admission is free for ages 11 and younger, $10 for ages 12 to 20, $20 for ages 21 and older. For further information call 609-693-9831.

Monday, May 30
Lacey Township Memorial Day Parade

Lacey Township will be holding their annual Memorial Day Parade sponsored by Corporal William H. Smith, Det. #667 of the Marine Corps League. The parade will start at the Lacey United Methodist Church at 10 a.m. and will end at Bicentennial Park, next to the municipal building. At Bicentennial Park, various military and civic organizations will lay wreaths. For more information call 609-693-3165.
