Spring Events: Bamber Lakes Fire Company to Host Flea Market and Bunco Nights

Residents can reserve a table for the flea market that will be held on Saturday, April 6

The Bamber Lake Firehouse, located at 2630 Lacey Road in Forked River, has several events coming up this spring:

Saturday, April 6

The Bamber Lakes Fire Company’s Flea Market will run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Set up begins at 7 a.m.

Table costs vary from $3 for a resident outside, $5 for a resident inside and $7 for a non-resident inside or outside. Payments are accepted the day of the event.

Donations of flea market items to help fundraise for the Bamber Lakes Fire Company will be accepted as well.

Saturday, April 13

It’s Bunco Night at the Bamber Lake Firehouse. With a $20 entry fee, entrants can help raise money for the Susan G. Komen 3-Day Walk for the Cure. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the event runs from 7 to 10 p.m.

Desserts and beverages will be served. There will be prizes for Bunco, a gift auction and a 50/50.

Saturday, April 27

A scrapbooking fundraiser will be held in support of Cousins Crusading against Breast Cancer, a three Cousin team that will be walking the Walk for the Cure on Oct. 4 through Oct. 6, to honor their cousin Lisa who is struggling with Breast Cancer.

For $30, those interested in attending will have 12 hours of uninterrupted scrapbooking. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and is actually at 248 Atlantic City Boulevard in Beachwood.

Light breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks and snacks will be available.

Bring your own tools, equipment and crafting supplies. Supplies will also be available for purchase.

Vendors for shopping include Thirty One Bags, Creative Memories, Close to My Heart, Dove Chocolate and more.

There will be a 50/50 and door prize drawings.

A second scrapbooking fundraiser will be held Saturday, June 8.

Saturday, May 18

Didn’t get enough of Bunco in April? Come back for round two in May.

The entry fee is again, $20 with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Desserts and beverages will be served and there will be gifts for Bunco, another gift auction and 50/50.

Proceeds will benefit the Walk for the Cure.
