PHOTOS: Popcorn Park's Run the Pines for Canines

Approximately $4,500 was raised for Popcorn Park through the 5K race

With 140 runners, approximately $4,500 was raised for Popcorn Park through , exceeding event organizer Justin Rand's expectations. 

All proceeds from the 5K race will benefit the animals at Popcorn Park, which includes domestic, wildlife, exotics, farm animals and birds, said Rand, a volunteer at Popcorn Park.

Proceeds will also benefit the rescue and volunteer funds, which will help with the medical treatment and care of Popcorn Park’s shelter dogs. The shelter typically houses approximately 100 dogs at a time.
