Oct. 8: School's Out Programs, Health Awareness Programs, RV Expo

Events in and around Lacey Township

1. Today is a federal holiday. To avoid showing up someplace that may be closed, check our list of holiday closures.

2. Camp Amity Acres in Barnegat is holing “School’s Out Programming” from the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore. Girls and boys can learn new skills and have some fun. Morning child care is available from 7 to 9 a.m. Programs run from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Evening child care is available from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Admission is $12. 3. A stroke awareness program will be held at the Kimball Medical Center in Lakewood all day. Admission is free.

4. The Family Planning Center of Ocean County, Inc. will be providing a free one-hour educational program for women on health issues for free. Contact Ann Keever, Director of Health Education and Outreach Services at 732-364-9696, ext. 127 for more information.

5. The second annual New Jersey RV Dealers Fall Expo will be held at FirstEnergy Park in Lakewood from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
