Nov. 6: Animal Gallery Talk, Fishing Tournament, Music By The Bay

Events in and around Lacey Township

1. A yard sale will be taking place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 37 Hilltop Drive in Lanoka Harbor. Among the goods on sale are baby and kids clothes, miscellaneous items, a crib, wooden office desk, a wicker vanity, and more.

2. At 1 p.m., there will be live animal information gallery talk at Jakes Branch County Park Nature Center, located at 1100 Double Trouble Road in Beachwood. Learn about the species that inhabit the park and get a close-up look at each animal. Call 1-877-OCPARKS for more information.

3. The Forked River Tuna Club, located at 18 Bay Avenue, is holding their “Fall Bass & Blues Tournament” all day long today.  It costs $40 each for the Striped Bass and Bluefish categories, and $65 to enter in both category. 4. The 5th Annual “Music By the Bay” performance will take place at the Lighthouse Center for Natural Resource Education, located at 7th Street & Navajo Drive in Waretown. 5. “Pickin' On The Porch” will be held at the Tuckerton Seaport, located at 120 West Main Street on Route 9 in Tuckerton from 12 p.m. to 5 pm. Pick, sing, listen, swap  bluegrass, country, old-time songs, and tell stories, or share a pot of beans and homemade bread. The event is hosted by Linda and Bill Salmons.
