Nov. 1: Music Fundraiser, Watercolor Retrospective, Fishing Tournament

Events in and around Lacey Township

1. The Friends of Lacey Music organization is sponsoring several restaurant fundraisers to raise money for their Marching Lions Equipment Truck. Today’s fundraiser takes place from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Papouli's Brick Oven Pizza on Manchester Avenue in Lacey. If customers present previously-distributed coupons with their checks, The Friends of Lacey Music will receive 15% all of money earned.

2. A Gamblers Anonymous meeting will take place from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. today at the First Presbyterian Church, located at 1070 Hooper Avenue in Toms River.

3. A Fitness Boot Camp program will be held tonight at 7 p.m. at , located at 281 Manchester Avenue in Lanoka Harbor. The cost to attend is $10. Participants can expect a mix of timed strength training and aerobic elements such as push-ups, lunges, jump rope, jacks, drills, line touches, burpees, crunches, etc. Partial proceeds collected for any class held at Lanoka Harbor School Gym will be donated to school PTO. 4. Taking place all day today at the is a Watercolor Retrospective by artist Bert McNomee. McNomee is a former president of the Ocean County Artists Guild, a member of the Pine Shore Art Association and is widely known for his watercolor classes in Ocean County.

5.  The at 18 Bay Avenue is holding their “Fall Bass & Blues Tournament” all day long today.  It costs $40 each for the Striped Bass and Bluefish categories, and $65 to enter in both category.
