May 7: Master Gardeners, Free Rabies Clinic, and Benefits

Events in and around Lacey Township

1.     The Friends of Lacey Library is holding their annual book sale today from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

2.     There is a fundraiser for a little girl with leukemia at Hebrew Park from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will continue from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The high school senior boys and girls will be playing soccer against Lacey Township coaches.

3.     The Lanoka Harbor EMS is holding their first annual Texas Hold-Em Motorcycle Run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Lacey Township Middle School. The event includes a 60-mile motorcycle course, Texas Hold-Em, door prizes, and vendors. The winning hand will win the $200 cash prize and there will be drawings for other prizes. There is a free BBQ for all paid participants. Admission is $15 for a rider, $5 for a passenger, $20 for a vendor. All proceeds benefit LHEMS.

4.     There is a free rabies clinic from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Municipal Building. Dogs must be on a leash and cats must be in a carrying case.

5.    Master Gardeners is hosting their twenty-first annual plant sale in the parking Lot of Rutgers Extension on Whitesville Road in Toms River from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information call 732-349-1245.
