May 7: Book Sale Donations, Job Search Assistance, Zoning Board

1. Today’s a drop-off day for the Friends of the Lacey Library Annual Books/Media Sale. All donations of books and media, including tapes, CDs and DVDs can be brought to the Meeting Room. All proceeds will be used to enhance the library and provide more programs. Donations can be made from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. The sale will begin on Wednesday, May 9.

2. There’s a Forked River Old Guard meeting at at 9 a.m.

3. Tuckerton Seaport is holding “Pickin’ on the Porch” from noon to 5 p.m. Pick, sing, listen, swap Bluegrass, country and old time songs. Stories will be shared along with a pot of beans and homemade bread. For more information call 609-296-8868.

4. Need help finding a job? Stop by the County Connection in Toms River for assistance from a representative of Workforce New Jersey between 5:45 to 9:30 p.m.

5. There’s a Zoning Board meeting at the Municipal Building at 7 p.m.
