Lacey Teen Builds Boardwalk for County Park, Earns Eagle Rank

Michael Moeller was honored with a proclamation by the township Committee

Michael Moeller of Lacey was honored with a proclamation at Thursday’s Committee meeting for earning the rank of Eagle Scout.

To receive the rank, Moeller constructed a 40-foot boardwalk at Cattus Island County Park in Toms River in order to create access to the park for those with special needs.

He received supplies for the project from 84 Lumber, Clayton Block, Shop Rite and Ocean Trophies as well as monetary support from the Veterans of Foreign War of Forked River and the Lacey Elks.

Moeller, with the help of Troop 56, donated approximately 86.5 hours to complete the project.
