The Lacey Elks hosted a Memorial Day Weekend service and picnic today.

After a tribute to veterans, those who attended the service called out the names of fallen soldiers and a trumpet rang to the tune of the memorial song, “Taps.”

The ceremony was followed by a picnic with food, refreshments, and music by Shorty Long.
