Due to the poor weather conditions the firework show at the high school has been canceled.
Mayor Gary Quinn said they held off on cancelling the fireworks because the weather was supposed to clear up. If a storm is within five miles of Lacey, they cannot set the fireworks off.
Instead, fireworks will be held on Tuesday, July 5 at 7:30 p.m. featuring entertainment by DJ Mike. People planning to attend should bring their own chairs.

There is a slight chance of showers on Tuesday after 2 p.m. but according to the National Weather Service, the day will be mostly sunny with temperatures near 85 degrees.
