Famed New Jersey Shore Author To Speak At Tuckerton Seaport, Report Says

Margaret Buchholz will speak at Seaport's "Literary Lunches" program on May 21

The Tuckerton Seaport has had such great success with its Lunch ’n Learn programs dealing with science themes that it seemed a natural to begin a series called Literary Lunches, according to a report in The Sandpaper.

The new series will be held on the third Wednesday of every month from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the Hunting Shanty on the Seaport property, 120 West Main Street, Tuckerton.

On Wednesday, May 21, join author Margaret Thomas Buchholz to celebrate New Jersey’s 350th with a slide show and readings from her books. Buchholz owned the Beachcomber, a weekly newspaper on LBI for 60 years. She co-wrote Great Storms of the Jersey Shore, with Larry Savadove; wrote New Jersey Shipwrecks: 350 Years in the Graveyard of the Atlantic; and compiled and edited Shore Chronicles: Diaries and Travelers’ Tales from the Jersey Shore 1764-1955, and Josephine: From Washington Working Girl to Fisherman’s Wife.

Buchholz will have copies of her books for sale and will inscribe them on request.
