The Lacey Library celebrates National Library Week with two parties

This week, local libraries will be celebrating National Library Week as well as National Volunteer Week.

The Ocean County Library of Lacey Township will be running their usual programs as well as a few extra to celebrate the week, said Gene Schrader, senior library assistant.

This week’s main events include a National Library Week and National Volunteer Week celebration at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Lacey Library staff will be celebrating with all volunteers and the Friends of Lacey Library. All are welcome, and there will be cake.

Geocaching is a worldwide high-tech treasure hunt game. Using a GPS, a geocacher can locate a geocache (hidden treasure). When the geocacher finds the treasure, they are to leave another geocache in the same location. For more information on Geocaching, click here.
