Aug. 24: Kids Golf Event, Music Concert, Movie on the Beach
Events in and around Lacey Township
1. The United Through Reading Military Program Children’s Book Drive is ongoing at Blue Moon Books on Route 9. Donate new children’s books that will be sent over to deployed service men and women who will read the book aloud while being recorded on DVD. The DVD and the book will then be sent to their children. is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
2. BlueClaws are holding a free golf event for kids from 11 a.m. to noon. The event will include BlueClaws players and Eagle Ridge Golf pros.
3. The Sound of Music is showing at the Surflight Theater at 2 and 8 p.m.

4. Eric Mintel will be playing at the Carousel of Music at the Ocean County Library in Toms River at 7 p.m.
5. Happy Feet Two is showing on the beach at Jenkinson’s Boardwalk in Point Pleasant at dark.
